Kayiwa Stoppage Time Blunder Gifts BUL Crucial Point Against Vipers.

Substitute Simon Peter Oketch capitalised on Allan Kayiwa mistake in stoppage time to ensure share of spoils in an entertaining StarTimes Uganda Premier league clash at St Mary’s Stadium Kitende.

Kayiwa who was introduced at halftime for Abdul Karim Watambala, claimed he was fouled in the 92nd minute when he lost the ball to Oketch to score while dribbling in the area but referee Oloya was not interested.

Before Oketch found the equaliser, Esenu had failed to capitalise on Mutombola blunder, who gifted him with the ball with a poor clearance.

The Venons took the lead in the 48th minute, after experienced defender Walter Ochora scored in his own net when he failed to deal well with Milton Karisa well delivered cross.

The hosts had got the opportunity to take the lead in the 47th minute, but Yunus Sentamu close attempt was cleared off the line by Richard Ayiko.

The visitors’ other clear second half chance, fell to Esenu but didnot connect well to a well crafted cross from the right flank.

Another subsitute Yiga Najib, was up to the task for the venoms, when he set up Yunus Sentamu who failed to find the target from the 16 yards box, and on another occasion set up Orit who couldnt also find the target.

Early in the first half, Congolese import Manzoki made the first attempt but couldnot find the target and Yunus shot was blocked for a corner in the 10th minute, with his left footed effort going  inches wide in the 11th minute.

Shortly before the half time whistle, Saidi Keni kept the visitors in the game with an outsatnding save off Anukani long range shot in 42nd minute.

BUL FC dangerman Kalyowa was joy to watch causing problems to Paul Willa.

Brazilian tactician Robertinho pointed at being wasteful for the loss of two points.

” I want to congratulate BUL FC for a good gsme they have put up, we missed sone key players in the squad which affected us but then we were so wasteful, we needed to score more goals to kill of the game. I don’t want to talk about individuals now because we are one team i would prefer talking in training.” Robertinho stated in thevpost match presser.

BUL FC assistant coach Baker Kasule was happy with a point and the boy’s fighting spirit.

” Though our target was three points coming into this game, but am very happy with a point got in stoppage time, overall it was a good game for us.” Kasule stressed.

Left back Aziz Kayondo who waved bye to the Venons linked with a move to Europe was Pilsner Man of the Match.

Direct title competitors KCCA FC lost three points away to URA FC in Ndejje.
