
Kaka Late Strike Salvages a Point For The Stars Against Express.
Goerge Senkaba and Umony Dennis scored for Express and Soltilo Beight Stars FC respectively in a 1-1 draw at Betway Muteesa II Stadium.
Umony Dennis Kaka levelled in the dyeing minutes of the game for Soltilo Bright stars to pick a vital point off a dominant Express side in the StarTimes Uganda Premier league clash today Friday at Wankulukuku.
Kaka capitalised on goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa poor communication with Captain Enock Walusimbi in the 92nd minute to level matters.
Mutakubwa called for the ball that was pushed forward by midfielder Joseph Youngman, and Walusimbi who was in position to head the ball left it for Mutakubwa but Kaka picked it before he reached it, rounded him and put the ball in an empty net.
Center forward George Senkaba had put the hosts in the lead with a close touch off Erick Kambale’s goal bound diving header in the 56th minute.
Senkaba, got the first chance for the hosts but couldnt take it in the 8th minute when he was set up by Kizza and shortly Kizza was denied in the 10th minute for a corner.
The visitors first chance came in the 23rd minute, but Marvin Youngman was denied by goal keeper Joel Mutakubwa who pushed out his 20 yards shot
Deus Bukenya recieved the first booking fpr reckless play on Jungu and Semayangge was booked in 39th minute for the same offense on Bukenya.
The hosts got a clear chance to go to the half tome with a lead but Kambale and Kizza failed to connect to right back Bukenya well delivered cross.
Coach Simon Peter Mugerwa replaced Alfred Onek with Joseph Janjali at half time which paid off later in the second half.
Early in the second half, goalkeeper Tamale kept the visitors in the game with a figure tips save to deny Lwesibawa from a corner in-swinger.
The Red eagles finished their first round games with twenty seven points (27) in third place behind Vipers and KCCA FC.
Bright Stars FC left with a URA FC home game to finish the first round, are 13th placed with eleven points in the relegation battle just a point above Onduparaka and Busoga United FC.
