Lugazi fc announce the capture of former St Mary’s Kitende defender.

Lugazi Football club have added right back Emmanuel Munoobi to their ranks on a two year deal from Buganda regional league side Buikwe Red Stars.

Munoobi who guided St Mary’s Kitende to their 9th national Copa Coca-Cola schools’ football championship in 2019 when they beat Jinja SS 3–1 in the final at Kakindu Stadium, has returned to top tier football with the Leaders after seasons.

The roving right back inspired by former St Mary’s Kitende and Vipers SC captain Nicholas Wakiro Wadada, played alongside; Abdul Karim Watambala, Bobosi Byaruhanga, Richard Basangwa, Amayo Ahmed, Ssali, Stephen Serwadda, Okao Jacob, Mugolofa Mutwalibu, Charles Lwanga Neymar, captained by Aziz Kayondo in the picture, Umar Kyebatala and Najib Yiga coming off the bench.

Munoobi played for St Julian between (2017-2018) before joining St. Mary’s Kitende (2019), and he made cut to the Vipers SC first team in December 2019 -2022.

After a long spell with the knee injury, that interrupted his spell at Kitende,he returned to active football with Buikwe Red Stars where he played the second round of the Buganda Regional League last season.

Munoobi scored four goals in nine appearances for the third division side. He will now continue his impressive progress with the Leaders

Munoobi is endowed with good game reading,confrotable in possession and his accuracy in crossing.

He joins along list of new faces at Lugazi FC that include forwards; Cromwell Rwothomio, Brian Ade, Jeremy Matata, midfielders; Zziwa Vincent, Christopher Birungi, defender Costa Mulimi, goalkeeper Tonny Kyamera amd defender Jamaldin Buchochera
