Lugazi sign USSSA Games 2017 title winner with Jinja SS from Iganga United.
Lugazi Football Club have confirmed the capture of former Maroons and Jinja SS/ Busoga United attacking midfielder – Vicent Zziwa on a permanent deal from FUFA big league side Iganga United FC.
According to Lugazifc.com, the stylish midfielder Zziwa has joined on a two-year deal.

Coach Abby Kikomeko that worked with Zziwa at Jinja SS, believes his quality, technicality, combining a good first touch with the ability to carry the ball forward over long distances. His intelligent positional play and composure under pressure means he can receive the ball in tight spaces and build attacking moves for his team-mates.
Zziwa started his football journey at Jinja Secondary School playing in the FUFA Juniors League for Jinja SS junior team. In 2016 that the name Zziwa hit everyone’s lips when his outstanding performances earned Kirinya-Jinja SS (Busoga United) the FUFA Big League title, and guided them to the Uganda Premier League.
His masterwork continued to deliver success to every team he featured for, with the stocky midfielder winning the Copa Coca Cola championship in 2017 with Jinja SS.
In 2020, he joined Maroons FC, after two years at Luzira he returned to Jinja to play for BUL FC and laster joined Wakiso Giants in 2024.
He spent the second half of last season at FUFA Big League side Iganga United, managing four assists and one goal in just eight games.
Zziwa joins a long list of new faces at the Lugazi based club that include, striker Brian Ade signed from big league side Onduparaka, Goalkeeper Tonny Kyamera from Kator FC, Frank Mulimi from SC Villa, midfielder Christopher Burungi, defender Jamaldin Buchochera from Rwanda Premier League side Gasogi United, electric winger Matata, Louis Anguti and others.
