UPLTransfers:Osman Mayanja targets top flight impact with Kigezi HomeBoyz FC
Uganda Premier League debutants Kigezi HomeBoyz FC have secured the signature of exciting young midfielder Osman Mayanja from Masaka City FC of the Buganda Region League.
The 16-year-old attacking midfielder has put pen to paper on a two-year deal with the “Gorillas” ahead of their first-ever top flight campaign.

For starters, Osman Mayanja comes from a footballing family.
He is the younger brother of former KCCA FC striker Abubaker Mayanja, who currently plays for Red River Raiders in USL League Two in the USA.

Speaking after his unveiling, Mayanja said First of all, I am happy to sign my first ever professional contract, and I am excited and ready to play top flight football.”
” My target is to help the team win games and also to win the Young Player of the Season award. ” Osman added.

He started out at Volf Soccer Academy before joining St Henry’s College Kitovu.
Mayanja then gained senior experience with Mawokota Ssaza, Bugerere Ssaza, and most recently, Masaka City FC, where his talent caught the eye of the Kabale-based side.

Lastly, Kigezi HomeBoyz FC will be making their debut in the Uganda Premier League this season the first time in the club’s history that they will play top flight football.
