Quarter Finals of the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association games 2025, will see one of the biggest fixtures in Secondary School football be played tomorrow Monday between record holders St Mary’s Kitende and Kibuli SS.
Secondary Schools football power houses St Mary’s Kitende and Kibuli SS both with a record of 11 national titles, will face off early at the Quarter final stage. Kibuli SS last won the championship in this Teso region when they were held in Soroti district.
SMASK that has won all the five games played so far in the championship, beat Kimanya 3-0 to book a date with fellow Giants Kibuli that knocked out Masaka SS 5-4 in penalties.
Kibuli very hungry for a silver ware, last won the championship in Soroti in 2014 and Kitende last won it in 2023 hosted in Fortportal.
Holders St Julian that won it in Masaka last year was knocked out by JIPRA and will take on surprise package Mentor SS from Lira.
The only Teso region remaining School- Bukedea Compressive School needed a late winner in the 88th minute against Kawempe to progress and they will take on a tricky Kyaddondo SS side that dumped out Kicwamba SS.
In the other Quarter final, two-time champions Buddo SS that last won it in 2018 held in Mbarara, will take on Kampala region side Uganda Matyrs Lubaga.
Buddo beat Wisdom 3-0 and Uganda Matyrs knocked out Greenlight Islamic 4-2 in penalties after a goal-less draw in normal time.
The quarter final Fixtures are scheduled for monday morning.
