Munguchi,Odongo stars in UPPC victory over Police for third league victory.

Steven Munguchi and Ambrose Kigozi scored for UPPC FC in a 3-0 win against Police FC in the Independence day Startimes Uganda Premier League early kick-off played at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo.

Midfielder Munguchi opened and doubled the lead for the hosts in the 3rd and 26th minute, then usual suspect and club talisman Kigozi came off the bench to put the icing on the cake for the Painters in the 3-0 victory against the cops.

Fresh from national duty, right back, Jonathan Gift Odongo assisted Munguchi early in the game with a well delivered ball that he did no mistake to head in.

Odongo, who was lively the whole of the ninety minutes, set up Ibrahim Orit in the first half, but the Cranes winger failed to hit the target.

Cranes wing back Odongo with the man of match peformance on the day, again advanced forward with venon, but his effort to pick up young star Calvin Peter Emayu, was well dealt well with the goalkeeper.

Big prospect Emayu, also got an opportunity to find the back of the net but, his effort to go round the goalkeeper was unsuccessful.

UPPC win ensured the painters bagged their third win of the season and they elevated to forth position with 10 points in five outings so far.

In the late kick off, Ivan ‘the hunter’ Ahimbisibwe came off the bench to win it for KCCA FC 1-0 against KCCA FC in the Authority derby.
