Uganda Football Classroom Captain Mukasa, Okello Join Lugazi.
After an impressive show with non league team Uganda Football Classroom in the Stanbic Uganda Cup 2026, Midfielder Amuli Mukasa and Donato Okello have landed a StarTimes Uganda premier league job at Najjembe.
Mukasa penned a two-year contract with the Najjembe based club that will see him at the club until February 2028.
Mukasa joins the Leaders from FUFA Big League side Kiyinda Boys, becoming the club’s other mid-season acquisition.
He joins Hamza Mulambuzi, SMASK graduate Umar Kyebatala, South Sudan’s U-20 youngster Chut Peter.
Uganda Football Classroom captain joins from Kiyinda Boys and captained Ssingo Ssaza team in the 2022 Buganda Masaza Cup, and also featured for the Nkima clan in the Bika Bya Baganda football competition.
Mukasa brings healthy competition and adds still to the Midfield that has; Dauson Mafumu, Solomon Okwalinga, Derrick Mwanje, Amos Etoju, Mulambuzi, Akiram Massa, David Bagoole and Abdul Kalanzi.
Utility player Donato Okello has also signed a two-year contract from Kenya premier league side Sofapaka FC where he played last season.
Before moving to Kenya, Donato featured for Uganda Premier League clubs– UPDF FC and Kitara FC, winning the Stanbic Uganda Cup with the latter in the 2023/24 season.
Donato went through My Star Soccer Academy – Masaka, Express Junior Academy – Masaka, Nyendo Diamond FC, and Masaka City FC, before transferring to Synergy FC.
He also played for Raadsan SC in Somalia.
The midfielder also featured for the South Sudan U-23 team, making his debut against Tanzania in the 2021 CECAFA U-23 Challenge Cup.
