Captain Biafula Big Promise to Kataka fans after knocking out Garuga Stars in Uganda Cup.

Kataka Football Club captain Muhammed Biafula scored the first penalty for his team to eliminate Garuga Stars FC 5-4 after a goalless draw in normal time at Cherish Grounds on Tuesday.

Biafula, Aka Marcus, Samuel Nangisha, Richard Lampani and Ali Sentamu scored the penalties for the FBL club to eliminate a forth Entebbe based club.

Biafula had exhilarating words for the Kataka FC fans after progressing to the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 32 stage.

We did not expect such a tough challenge against a 4th tier team, but i think they had also prepared well, and you know football, anything can happen. This season, we are more committed to fight harder to go past last season’s performance or even lift the title, last time we were knocked out by KCCA FC but this season we promise our fans that we are going to give our best fight for promotion to super league and also challenge for the title.Biafula stated

Kataka will play Startimes Uganda premier league side Police FC at the next stage of the competition.

The Mbale based club, is 6th placed in the league with 22 points collected so far with just 3 points behind 3rd placed Ntungasaze in the promotion places and seven behind leaders Blacks Power.

Kataka on their chase of top league football next season, will host Bunyaruguru on 22nd this month.
