FWSL: Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC Celebrate First Win of the Season
Brenda Munyana’s late strike earned Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC their first win of the season, edging Makerere University WFC 1–0 on the road.
The hosts, Makerere University WFC, were solid throughout the first half, limiting chances and holding their visitors to a goalless draw at the break.
After the restart, Uganda Martyrs maintained their rhythm and continued to push for a breakthrough. Their persistence paid off in the 85th minute when striker Brenda Munyana fired home the decisive goal to seal all three points for the Kidda Girls.

This marks the first victory of the season for Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC, who had gone four games without a win. The Lubaga-based side had earlier lost 4–1 to table leaders She Corporate FC, drawn 2–2 with Amus College WFC and Lady Doves, and suffered a narrow 1–0 defeat to Kawempe Muslim LFC.

Following this crucial win, Uganda Martyrs now sit 8th on the table after Matchday 5 and will host Rines SS WFC in their next fixture.
