Lugazi FC capture UPPC FC midfielder & defender Alex Akankwasa.

Lugazi FC has anounced the signing of midfielder John Kokas Alou from Entebbe UPPC FC and defender Alex Akankwasa on a two year deal.

Alou joins the Leaders from UPPC FC where he spent the 2025/2026 season.

Kokas, a product of URA FC junior team, was promoted to the senior team in November 2020 after an impressive display with the junior side.

Left back Akankwasa, joined as a free agent having spent the whole of last season away from top tier football featuring for Kooki FC in Masaza cup and Shan Davids FC in the Hamz Cup 2026.

Alou signed for Brightstars FC in 2023 from URA FC and played the 2025/26 season with the Printers.

Lugazi FC, Seventh placed on the SUPL log with 6 points from four outings as we dive into the international break, has also announced Francis Onekalit arrival from Rwandan side Association Sportive Muhanga.

Experienced forward Onekalit arrives with vast experience having featured for Vipers SC, Ndejje University FC, Blacks Power and Police FC.

Onekalit who also plays for the South Sudan national football team – The Bright Stars, as well signed a two-year contract.

Coach Abby Kikomeko earlier captured veteran defender Livingston Mulongo, striker Cromwell Rwothomio, Brian Ade, winger Jeremy Matata, midfieder Vincent Zziwa ,goalkeeper Tonny Kyamera, Frank Mulimi Da Costa, right back Munobi Emmanuel among others.
