Kitara FC Continue Unbeaten Streak with 2-0 Victory Over Soltilo Bright Stars
Kitara Football Club continued their impressive run of form with a commanding 2-0 victory over Soltilo Bright Stars at Royal Park in Butema, Hoima City. Goals from Living Kabon and Patrick Kaddu ensured the Royals extended their unbeaten streak to nine games, marking their third win in the last five outings.
The game started with high intensity, and Kitara wasted no time asserting their dominance. In the 22nd minute, Living Kabon broke the deadlock, capitalizing on a well-delivered corner from Frank Zaga Tumwesigye. Kabonβs close-range finish sent the home crowd into celebrations as Kitara took an early lead.
Bright Stars fought hard to find an equalizer, with Noordin Bunjo and Kizanyiro leading their attacking efforts in the second half. However, Kitaraβs defense stood firm, repelling every attack and maintaining their clean-sheet streak.
As the match neared its conclusion, Kitara sealed the victory in the dying moments. Substitutes John Bosco Byaruhanga and Patrick Kaddu combined brilliantly, with Byaruhanga whipping in a pinpoint cross from the right. Kaddu, who recently rejoined the club, executed a well-timed half-volley to score his first goal since his return, securing all three points for the hosts.
Since the appointment of head coach Wasswa Bbosa, Kitara FC has been in outstanding form, going nine games unbeaten while keeping clean sheets in all of them. Their last defeat came on November 1, 2024, when they lost 1-0 to Soltilo Bright Stars.
With this result, Kitara climbs to fifth place on the Uganda Premier League table with 25 points, while Soltilo Bright Stars remain second from bottom with just 11 points.
