FUBA has set a resumption date for lower division basketball after suspensions.

FUBA has set a resumption date for lower division basketball after initially suspending 10 teams for failing to register and obtain licenses.

The new league committee, now under FUBA’s committee council and the competitions management, has been tasked with running the league efficiently. As part of the new licensing requirements, teams are required to pay 4,500,000 shillings for registration and licensing.

This requirement led to a revolt among the teams, resulting in suspensions. However, after a formal meeting with the teams, the following resolutions were made:

All lower league games will resume on May 25th, with all previously suspended teams reinstated in the fixtures. If any of the 10 teams fail to pay the registration fee, they will be awarded walkover points.

This statement comes after sports Pundit and basketball Journalist Mr Hudson Mugweri on a Sports256 Podcast “HOT TAKE ” on Youtube Channel Broke the news of FUBA suspendingΒ  Lower Division teams over unpaid Registration fee.
