DOLLAR SPRINGS KAWAFU FC TO FACE NETWORK FC IN KATAKA MEMORIAL FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT “BULESA” OPENER

Dollar Springs Kawafu FC will open this year’s Kataka Memorial Football Tournament “Bulesa” against Network FC tomorrow, Thursday 18th June 2026, at Nkumba Kataka playground.

Games will be played from Thursday to Sunday with Kickoff 4:00pm and Entrance UGX 2,000.

For Kawafu FC, it’s more than an opener.

For 2 years running, Kawafu side has been the tournament’s heartbeat, unearthing talent like Kennedy Ssewankambo.

Now backed by Dollar Springs Hotel, they carry a new name, the same fire, and a point to prove.

Kawafu arrive as the tournament’s serial entertainers fearless and now bankrolled by Dollar Springs Hotel.

Expect Kawafu FC to dominate possession, but Network will test if reputation alone wins games.

Furthermore, on Friday, Lake View SS Kitinda will verse Entebbe City Lads.

Last year’s finalists, Counsel Derrick FC are back but with a new heartbeat.

Under new manager Kassim Haza Walugembe, the factory of Uganda Super League and Uganda Cranes talent begins again.

And in Bulesa, nothing to lose is the most dangerous weapon.

Sunday 21st June, the defending champions ABC FC will play against Mivule Forest FC.

ABC FC conquered last year unbeaten under Tonny Arinaitwe and Meddie Mukiri.

Now, new manager Keron Kwikkiriza steps into big shoes with bigger expectations. “Champions are not crowned in May… they are tested in June,”
