Team Masanyalaze wins third consecutive Good Friends Super Four League title
The 3rd Edition of the Good Friends Super Four League reached its climax yesterday at SPN Turf Namulanda, and it was the holders who wrote the ending.
Masanyalaze defeated final debutants Team Kikompola 2-0, with both goals coming in the second half to seal a historic three-peat.
Kikompola arrived without fear.
The debutants controlled the ball in the first half, and they came to play.
Swalleh Kaboyo and Kevin Kananura both went close, but the final ball, the final touch, let them down.
Masanyalaze, though, knew this stage.
They have lived on it. They waited, absorbed, and when the moment came, they struck with the coldness of champions.
Substitute Dan Musomesa broke the deadlock, and midfielder Ken Cambiasso added the second to put the game to bed.
Experience told and pedigree showed.
At the final whistle, it was joy for Masanyalaze and heartbreak for Kikompola.
In the crowning ceremony presided over by Aidenal Sports Foundation Administrator Beatrice, the league’s stars were honoured.

The Fair Play Team of the Tournament was also recognized: Abel Sadick, Mwambu Mark, Dickson Karamagi, Elvis Kabuye, Kalule Peter, Isaac, Saddick Deco, Deo Nakabaale, Donozio, Malik, Joel Nsubuga, Katumwa and Kushy Abangira.
