Entebbe Police FC seal historic 4-3 aggregate comeback to earn Buganda Province 4th Division promotion.

A 3-1 win at home completed a 4-3 aggregate comeback over Namutamba Ndaiga FC, sending the Wakiso champions into the Buganda Province 4th Division League.

The Entebbe Police playground erupted at full time.

Players, coaches, and fans embraced in tears and joy as promotion was confirmed on home soil this afternoon.

Namutamba Ndaiga FC struck first inside 13 minutes, threatening to end Police’s dream.

But captain Adriko Erick Payo responded, burying a rebound to level the game.

Midfielder Marvin Ssebuliba then put Police ahead before halftime, finishing calmly after a scramble in the Namutamba box.

At the break, it was 2-1 to Police and a 3-3 on aggregate, and the hosts holding the away-goal edge.

Early in the second half, Nampardi stretched the lead to 3-1, making it 4-3 on aggregate.

Furthermore, the forward later combined with Innocent to create more chances, but Namutamba’s keeper kept the score down.

The backline, marshalled by Ssimbwa Herbert, held firm to ensure no late goals spoiled the party.

Entebbe Police controlled the game to the final whistle.

“I thank God for the promotion to the next level. I thank the players who worked as a team and the fans who have always been there for us.”

Coach Katongole confirmed the club’s ambition won’t stop here, “Our main target next season is promotion to the Regional League.”

 

From 2-1 down after the first leg in Mityana to 4-3 winners on aggregate, Entebbe Police FC turned fear into history.

The Wakiso 5th Division champions are now 4th Division bound — and already dreaming bigger.
