Exciting teenager Aggrey Nyombi knick-named ‘Mbappe’ after the French and PSG star Kylian, is eyeing playing in the StarTimes Uganda premier after leaving Black stars Football Club.
Nyombi, who has spent two years with the regional league side, his contract expired at the end of the season and he is not willing to renew acquittance with the Masanafu based regional league club.
” This is a team that nurtured me, gave an opportunity to show what I can do but I feel the two years have spent here are enough and I need a bigger challenge most especially in the StarTimes Uganda Premier or may be in the FUFA big league.” He told Sports256.
Nyombi a S.4 student at St Julian, was promoted from the team’s junior side to the senior team but ready to leave his parent club for a new challenge else where.
” I have big dreams of playing professional football and as well as playing for the junior sides of the national team and i feel this is only possible if I can play in the SUPL while am still in high-School and I feel am ready.” He added.
Nyombi born to former premier league star SC Abbey Ssenyoga Bikompo that played for SC Simba and Uganda Hippos (U-20), is a gifted winger with quick feet, who loves taking on opponents and loves shooting the ball.
Nyombi, is a product of Rays of Grace football academy, who as well, attended Mydel, Talent Bridge S.A, Mivule Soccer academy among others.
He has also featured for St Andrew’s Lugazi, St John’s mukono, Devine College Wakiso and St Jude Masaka.
The young star also played for Mydel and Vega a academies before joining Rays of Grace.
The teenager, was part of the Black stars 25 man squad that lost to Buganda regional league champions Kiyinda in the FBL (regional) league play-off, but his side had eliminated CATDA in the Kampala Region playoff.
