Copa Coca cola 2019 now USSSA, most valuable player Edrine Mukisa Opaala has expressed his joy and readiness to compete after completing his move to Bidco Uganda Limited (BUL) Football Club.
The gifted attacking midfielder joins the Eastern giants from Busoga United on a two year deal this site can confirm.
” I am excited to join the BUL family. I thank the management for the opportunity given to me, I am ready to compete.”
On arrival to the club, manager Abby Kikomeko showed the quality of a player he is adding to the group according to Bulfc.co.ug.
“Opaala is still young and has been playing well, assisting and doing so many things. We thought it was high time he joins a good team like BUL so that he can excel with his talent,” Kikomeko stated.
“I know his ability, I know the kind of football he plays and the kind of passes he crafts. He will actually add creativity to our midfield.”
“He is a product of Copa Coca Cola schools tournament and majority of these players have excelled, and they have gone as far as playing professional football.”
“So we thought bringing him on board at BUL will be a better achievement for him.”
Opaala was named the 2019 Copa Coca Cola Most Valuable Player held in Jinja hosted by Jinja College in a competition that was won by St Mary’s Kitende.
Opaala beat many professional and SUPL stars now to win the 2019 accolade that include; Isma Mugulusi, Lawrence Tezikya, Serwadda, Azizi Kayondo, Ronald Madoi, Kenneth Semakula, Bobosi Byaruhanga, Charles Lwanga, Richard Basangwa, Vincent Zziwa and others.
He re-unites with his former school coach, fellow Jinja-SS grauates and fellow Busoga United ex players Joel Madondo, Jeromy Kirya, Vicent Zziwa, among others.
The 19 old, also won the same award in the Busoga Masaza Cup when he was playing for Buzaya County in the 2019 edition.
The teenager is a product of Ms Diana Nyago project at Jinja SS. the and arrives at the Eastern Giants with topflight football experience having featured for Busoga United in the Uganda premier league for the past three seasons.
