Wakiso Giants Football Club energetic forward Shariph Kimbowa is among those left out of the Uganda Cranes final squad by head coach Milutin Sredojevic that will face Algeria in the second last game of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers.
Micho had earlier summoned a provisional 42 man squad and after ten days of residential training in Kampala, the coach has finally found his best 23 players that will do the job against Algeria.
On-form dreadlocked Wakiso striker made his first appearance in the national colours when the Cranes defeated the Eastern region select side.
The squad named has three goalkeepers, eight defenders, five midfielders and seven forwards.
From the earlier summoned players, goal keepers Ismail Watenga and Joel Mutakubwa have been left out
James Begisa, Ashraf Mandela, Ibrahim Juma, Umar Lutalo, Derrick Ndahiro, Isa Mubiru, Musa Ramathan, Allan Enyou, and Hillary Mukundane are the defenders dropped from the squad.
Midfielders left out include; George Kasonko, Said Mayanja, Bright Anukani, Allan Okello, Farouk Miya and Moses Opondo.
Young star Rogers Mugisha and Villa’s Charles Bbaale join Kimbowa among the forwards not considered.
Kimbowa used social media to send encouraging words to his colleagues that have made the travelling list.

According to fufa.co.ug, the contingent will travel to Cameroon on Friday morning (2:45am).
Uganda Cranes will host Algeria on 18th June 2023 at Japoma Stadium in Douala, Cameroon.
Uagnda will play a friendly game against Democratic Republic of Congo on Wednesday, 14th June in preparation for the clash against Algeria.
The Cranes are facing a high flying Algerian side that has beaten everyone with maximum points.
Uganda is third in Group F on four points same as Tanzania while Algeria leads the Group on 12 points. Niger is bottom on 2 points.
