Muhammad Kagawa Senoga, Moses Waiswa and an own goal by SC Villa captain Gift Fred were enough for the Kasasiro boys to down the Jogoos on Match day 9 of the SUPL in a game played at Akii Bua Stadium in Lira.
KCCA FC comfortably got their 5th win of the season and jumped to 3rd position with 16 points two behind log leaders Wakiso Giants.
KCCA FC got the game underway on bright note with Gift Fred scoring in his own net as early as the 3rd minute.
Kagawa doubled the lead in the 32minute and Moses Waiswa killed of the game with the 3rd shortly before the half time mark.
KCCA FC’s no 10 Okello could have have doubled KCCA’s lead but his long range effort was tipped over the bar by Villa’s goal keeer Maddie Kibirige.
Waiswa capitalized on the reultant freekick after Allan Okello was fouled at the edge of the 18 yard box.
After the break, Emmanuel Wasswa replaced Moses Waiswa who got a knock early in the second half.
Charles Lwanga and Usama Arafati later replaced Brian Aheebwa and Allan Okello in the 67th minute.
SC Villa’s Ssekajja and Ivan Sserubiri later got cautioned for dangerous play while KCCA’s Kagawa also got into the referee’s books for a foul on Villa’s Travis Mutyaba.
In the 84th minute, Rogers Mato and Kagawa Ssenoga gave way for Julius Poloto and Tshisungu Kankonde.
KCCA FC left back Majwega later got cautioned for time wasting in additional time.
Mohammad Nsereko and Pistis Barenge replaced Ivan
Sserubiri and Sheif Batte for the Jogoos in the 78th minute.
Young star Patrick Kakande got a good chance but his shot went slightly above the frame.
Later in the game, the hosts introduced Travis Mutyaba and forward Ivan Bogere but had little impact on the game.
Davis Sekajja was booked as well as Ivan Sserubiri for a foul on Emmanuel Wasswa.
KCCA FC host Gaddafi FC next in Match Day 10 of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League on Tuesday 29th November at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
SC Villa are 6th placed with 14 points and will visit the Venoms on 29th November 2022.
