Newly Elected USPA President Alsayed Lubega To look up To elders For Successful Tenure

Moses Alsayed Lubega minutes after being elected and declared president of Uganda Sports Press Association (USPA) 2022, he clearly pointed at looking on to elders and seniors for success.

Alsayed of (Animus Media) defeated Leon Senyange of EA News Correspondent by 36-12 in an election held on Saturday 27th November 2022.

This was during the USPA annual and elective assembly that was held at Copper Chimmey Lugogo

A joyful Alsayed Lubega promised to look on to previous UPSA executive members for advise, to restore the lost USPA glory shortly after swearing in.

” Am delighted with this transition, we would love to thank the founder members of the association, I thank all of you for the support and trust to lead you , to the senior members, I will always look on to you for advise and guidance. Am a good listener and I pledge to live to the spirit. This is not a day for me to jubilate but I thank every one for the endorsement.” Lubega stated.

Football256 and Sanyu FM’s Clive Kyazze replaced Johnson Were as new association General Secretary un-opossed just like Solomon Ssaka that retained his position as organizing secretary.

“Am happy that the assembly has entrusted me to be part of the USPA executive and I promise to do my best to try take the association to another level. I believe we shall have a good working environment with the new president and incase of anything we can try solve it. I think we can start by sorting the misunderstanding between our members. Restoring USPA lost glory can be achieved by a collective effort.” Kyazze stated.

Laurian Lubuulwa of Vision group, retained his position as treasurer having served in the same position under Kanyomozi.

” We have had many challenges here and there but am blessed to return as association treasurer. I have tested the waters in the past I know now what it means being on USPA executive.i believe it’s the right time now to call upon every one we work together. It’s a challenge that the turn up is still low, We shall make sure we bring back the past USPA executive members so that we can learn more from them. We need to manage very well the little resources we have to accomplish our goals, then we have to look at the long term financial stability of the organization Lubulwa stated

Elijah Njawuzi an administrator at Uganda Olympic Committee, was the presiding officer of the election.
