Gama anticipates a tough game against 2022 cup winners, but he is optimistic his side will pick positive results in the first leg tie before traveling to Greenlight stadium in Arua on Saturday, 28th March 2026.

We are facing an opponent who has ever won the cup, so we have respect for them, we know they have quality in their squad, which we also do have, as Bunyoro, we are happy that we qualified for the quarter finals for the first time, so we thank God, players, fans and management.

We are heading into this game well knowing we need to win it. Being home, we have to make sure we get positive results so that when we travel to Westnile, we also perform according to our first leg results.

We are not in camp yet because we have a challenge that there is Uganda Cup going on, and most of our players are still engaged with their clubs, so you find we don’t get enough time to prepare. But we are ready to do the needful to make sure we progress to the next round, we are handling each game as a final because every team has that wish to lift the title.

About the new additions Gama stated.

Obviously, the new players boast the squad and adding them to the available players, and their performance in their different clubs has been good, so we believe they give us a good game and the result we need to compete at the highest top level.

In his conclusive remarks, Coach Gama called upon the Bunyoro people to come support their team and promised them happiness.

Bunyoro people should expect happiness and positive results. This is a game we should get a win no doubt about that, then this will win will help us get the result in the return leg that will help us get into the semifinals, Finals or even going further to lift the title. The fans should come in big numbers to support the team as the 12th player expecting happiness, and this will give our players morale. They should expect positive results just like I have always been promising them and delivering.

Kitara new signing from Buhimba United saints Edison Agondeze lead Bunyoro top scorer’s chart with 3 goals, having managed to score one against Busoga and two against Rwenzori.

Gama managed to guide Bunyoro to their first ever group qualification from a tough group C that had Busoga, Bunyoro and Kigezi, where they were all tied at 5 points but had a better goal difference than Kigezi.
