UFL:MUTEESA I ROYAL AND BUGEMA UNIVERSITY SEAL QUARTERFINALS SLOTS

Muteesa I Royal University has qualified for the University Football League quarterfinals for the second time in a row.

They secured a hard-fought 1-0 away win against Bishop Stuart University in Mbarara.

Forward Rwothomio Brian scored the lone goal in the first half that killed off the game.

Muteesa I Royal University’s goalkeeper Kayanja made crucial saves to deny Bishop Stuart University’s Ahumuza, who was a limelight in the team.

Rwothomio Brian, in the dying minutes of the game, received a chance to make it two for Muteesa, but his shot went far wide.

In other Group B games, Bugema University advanced with a 1-0 win over African Renewal University.

Thanks to Bukenya Kenneth’s penalty, that won it all for Bugema.

Kabale University drew 1-1 with IUEA in Kasanga.

Muteesa I Royal University tops Group B with 12 points, and they will be joined by Bugema University to advance to the last eight.
