Gaddafi-UPPC FC Target is Very Clear -Head Coach Allan Kabonge

 

While speaking to the media after his team Gaddafi/ UPPC defeated Calvary 2-0 in the FUFA Big league game played on Sunday at Entebbe Works play ground, head coach Allan Kivebulaya Kabonge, made it clear that his main target is StarTimes Uganda Premier league next season.

 

Knicknamed ‘the Messiah’ -Kabonge’s side still unbeaten in the four outings, beat Calvary to re-claim the summit spot on Sunday with eight points one ahead of Kiyinda boys and two ahead of Blacks Power in the promotion places.

Veteren forward Davis Kasirye and Midfielder Daniel Kazibwe scored for Kabonge’s Gaddafi/ UPPC in the 2-0 win on Sunday to go top.

 

The ‘Messiah’ speaking to Sports-256.com, shortly after his second win of the season, stated ” Am very happy of the way my team plays and this win may be crucial in our promotional campaign because it has taken us back to the table summit because I often want to be in green ‘ promotion’ places – whenever I want to guide the team to the top tier. To the huge Entebbe football fans, I want to ask for calmness, because you have the best coach in the country and this team is also going to be promoted as I I have always done it.

 

Having played four games so far, won both at home and drawn both away games, he pointed at a key factor as to why he is yet to get maximum points away from home.

 

” Am yet to get maximum points away from home just because some times however much my team plays good football, but officiation away from home most cases is demanding. Our strength is in playing and enjoying Football, I mixed senior players and young stars and I give all of the chance to play and the kids are very talented.

 

In his conclusive remarks, Kabonge urged the fans to continue with the support to achieve the SUPL target next season and expressed his readiness to coach any national side.

 

” I would love to appreciate the fans so much so far and urge them to continue with the support, and am as well happy my little brother Jude Semugabi i trained and others are playing for the national team, happy they are there it’s only me remaining to join them but am very ready.”

 

Kabonge’s Gaddafi are second placed now with eight points one behind leaders Booma that defeated Kaaro Karungi 1-0 to claim the top slot.

 

Kiyinda boys and Blacks Power are 3rd and 4th placed with 7 and 6 points respectively.

 

Kabonge’s next trip is to a place where he made his name – Arua against a side he helped gain promotion to the SUPL years ago and currently 6th placed in the FBL- Onduparaka.

 

Kabonge has guided Aurum Roses, Onduparaka, Arua Hill SC, Masavu FC among others to the top tier.
