MGSA started with 12 kids and today accomodates more than a hundred (100) and has produced notable players.
Mukono Galacticos Soccer Academy (MGSA) was started seven years ago with a mission of grooming high potential football talent in the country, and it’s evident that the academy is moving in the right direction.
The academy located in Kigombya, mostly target kids with in this village, sorrounding villages and with in Mukono district.
Mukono S.A established in 2015, and was in operation up to 2017 and due to some challanges there was a break of academy activities up to 2020 when it officially resumed it’s operations up-to-date.
The academy that started with twelve (12) kids, has steadily developed and has now upto 100 kids now.
According to the academy director Isaac Nteza, every effort is towards achieving their mission and they are progressing well and they have success achieved for this period of time.
“Our main objective is to help talented kids from vulnerable families to acquire education. Something we have done for years now. We have a mission of using this game, equip the kids with knowledge and skills that can help them sustain themselves in time to come.” He stated.
” We want to be one of the best academies in Africa and this means alot of hard work.” He concluded.
Mukono Galacticos SA have got different Under age teams; U-5, U-7, U-9, U-11, U-13, U-15 and they are setting up the U-17 team.

U-15 – UYFA Greater Mukono region champions organised by tap-in.
U-11 – Watoto Wasoka champions Europa league.
In the Kings of Soccer Epic Galla organised by Mukono Galacticos SA(MGSA), the MGSA U-11 ‘Invicibles’ emerged champions and MGSA U-15 ‘ Gladiators’ won the title as well.
In the Lugazi Kids tournament, the MGSA U-11 won a bronze medal after they finished in 3rd place.
At the Koosky tournament, the MGSA U-9 ‘Blazers’ also finished in 3rd place.
The academy also enganges in friendly games, and among them, are those against Kensington in which they have managed a single win in the four outings.
The academy has so far been productive, with some of it’s products already in different schools like Mukono Kings the champions of of Mukono district, St Andrew’s Lugazi, and also those that play in different leagues most especially in Kampala regional League.
Some of the academy products include! Nsubuga Jamil now with Kyetume U-17 team,
Salaamu Owen, Sekiziyivu Ian and Kakungulu Ashraf, the trio at St Andrews Lugazi and
Serwanga Yusuf at Mukono Kings.
” In a short time to come, we hope to have a strong team playing the FUFA U-17 league using our Mukono kids and in like five year’s time, we shall be having a team that will be playing in probably the 4th division league to give chance to the kids that will have grown up with us.”
” We also wish to participate in international tournaments, so in the future we are hopeful we shall have got the ability to achieve that. We are mostly targeting, one organised in China and another in Australia.
The academy has got a well structured administration team led by the director Isaac Nteza.
