The GF Super Four League, a highly anticipated corporate tournament, is reaching its climax at the SPN Turf Namulanda. Organized by the Good Friends Family, this league showcases competitive yet friendly matches among corporate teams every Friday, with only two games per week.
The primary objective of the league is to foster camaraderie among corporate individuals through competitive sports. The Good Friends Family has created four distinct teams: Team Bbomu, Team Masanyalazze, Team Kikompola, and Team Muliro, each bringing its unique flair to the competition.
Chairman of the organizing committee, Mr. Aiden Ssebudde, emphasized the league’s commitment to instilling discipline and character in young participants. “We also bring in young boys so that they learn from us the discipline and character,” he noted. Mr. Aiden also mentioned that there are suggestions to hold the league biannually, enhancing its impact and reach.
As the league heads into matchday seven, the competition is fiercer than ever. Team Bbomu faces a critical match against Team Masanyalazze, currently second on the table with 10 points. This do-or-die game is crucial for Team Bbomu, who are struggling to make their mark in the tournament.
Table leaders Team Muliro, also with 10 points, will conclude the day’s play against third-placed Team Kikompola at 7 PM. The leaders are determined to keep their eyes on the prize and maintain their top position.
Highlighting individual performances, Swalleh Kaboyo of Team Masanyalazze stands out as the top scorer of the league, boasting four goals in the six games played so far. Additionally, the best player in each game receives the prestigious Man of the Match award, recognizing their outstanding contributions.
Last week’s results added to the excitement:
- Team Kikompola defeated Team Masanyalazze 1-0
- Team Bbomu drew with Team Muliro in a thrilling 3-3 match
As the GF Super Four League approaches its final stretch, fans and players alike eagerly anticipate the conclusion of this exhilarating corporate tournament.
