Kitara now at 26 points, extended the summit lead to a point after NEC threw away two points and Mbarara City moved to 25 points after that 6-0 humiliation of relegation threatened Soroti FC.
Kitara thumped Luwero United 4-0 to keep grip on the top spot and NEC dropped to 3rd position with 24 points having gone into the match day 12 games tied at 23 with leaders Kitara.
Cranes striker Patrick Kaddu, former Express and Onduparaka forward John Kisaakye, Edson Agondeze and Stewart Akugizibwe, scored Kitara’s last goals in 2022 at Kigaaya play grounds.
