Holders Kitende Baptizes Debutants Mukono Kings With Fire To Reach Semis

Defending champions St Mary’s boarding Secondary School Kitende has thumped Mukono Kings High school 4-0 in the 9am quarter final clash to end the first timers’ dream of having their hands on the prestigious title.

 

Mukono district and greater Mukono champions Kings bowed out with their heads up reaching the quarter finals on their maiden appearance at the National level.

 

They knocked out ‘big boys’ Royal Giant from Mityana 9-8 in penalties to reach the quarter final stage.

 

Midfielder Elvis Ngondwe, Oloya Habib and Rogers Tokorach scored the all important goals for Kitende to reach the semis.

 

Ngondwe scored in the 8th minute and Oloya bagged his brace and defender Tokorach put the icing on the cake his at the edge with a well struck free kick late in the game.

 

Quarter final action continues at Greenlight Stadium with Kibuli SS taking on hosts Mvara SS at 11 am
