StarTimes Uganda premier league (SUPL) clubs, UPDF and the Ankole Lions, have expressed interest in signing exciting midfielder Stephen Kabuye from SUPL new comers Police FC.
Kabuye is a free agent after his one year contract at Police FC expired at the end of the season.
The exciting midfielder has had a good year with the Cops guiding them back to the SUPL, as well winning the FUFA big league title.
He has managed Seven goals and six assists most of them coming in the second round finishing second top scorer for the club behind Ogwang Isaac who finished the season with 14 goals.
The silky attacking Midfielder when contacted about a possible move away from a club he guided back to the premier league, he had this to say.
Am happy that we achieved my target when I was joining the team, but I cannot be sure of where I will end up next season, some clubs have showed interest but there is a possibility of extending my stay at Police if negotiations go on well. But as of now am a free agent. He stated.
Kabuye joined Police from Arua Hill SC where he still worked with coach Livingston Mbabazi.
The exciting attacking Midfielder who can also play on the flanks, has worked with Mbabazi at Kyetume, Mbarara City and Arua Hill and they might re-unite at Mbarara City according to this site sources.
The 23 year old, has also played for Mbarara City and Kyetume in the SUPL.
He joined SUPL from Masaza tournament (Buleemezi), but had earlier played for Ssingo.
He scored three goals in his debut season for Mbarara City, scored two for Kyetume and two for Arua Hill before joining Police.
