FIFA Chief Member Associations Officer Kenny Honore Jean Marie Visits Uganda for FIFA Football for Schools Programme

Kenny Honore Jean Marie, FIFA’s Chief Member Associations Officer, is currently in Uganda to oversee the FIFA Football for Schools Programme. This three-day event is being held at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru and was officially inaugurated by Sammy Odongo, the Assistant Commissioner of Physical Education and Sports from the Ministry of Education and Sports.

The event features a prominent FIFA delegation, including FIFA Football For Schools Manager Antonio Buenano Sanchez, FIFA Technical Consultant Alberto Giacomini, and FIFA Associations Africa Regional Coordinator Sousa Silmara. These experts are leading the training sessions for games teachers, who will become certified trainers after the three-day program. These newly certified trainers will then educate other games teachers in their respective regions.

Additionally, participants were introduced to the FIFA Football For Schools Online Platform (App) and were required to create personal accounts.

As part of its commitment to the programme, FIFA has promised to supply 66,260 footballs to primary schools across Uganda, providing crucial resources to support the initiative’s goals.
