Kasule Impressive at Redbulls Express Admiration to share a pitch with Messi, Sends Message to Masaza players.
Ibrahim Kasule enjoying life at MLS NEXT Pro side New York Red Bulls, has pointed at making history at the club as one of his main targets after his impressive exploits since joining the club.
The teenage- midfielder, who was named in the Best XI for the 2023 MLS Next Pro, was involved in 20 goals, scored 15 and assisted at 5 occasions in the regular season.
Speaking to this site, the Ugandan international, expressed his burning desire and love to play in the Major League soccer and more importantly to share a pitch with one of the greatest of all time.
” Am looking forward to playing in the MLS with Lionel Messi and make a name with Redbulls.
The former Wakiso Giants midfielder, didn’t as well, hide his target of playing in Europe and becoming a main stay in the National team set up.
” No doubt am as well thinking of playing at a higher level than this, I want to compete still in top leagues inn shaa Allah, because this means alot because it’s everyone wants to play for a National team n t was a dream come true since my young days of my career. Ofcourse. we can’t predict the future inn shaa Allah want to see my self go higher and higher for my dreams to come true. He added.
Kasule, had so far managed 17 goals, 6 assists in the 26 games he has featured in and has made 22 starts since joining the team in on 30th March.
The youngstar has pointed at some key figures that have helped him settle in easily.
” Life is not bad here, I have friends, everyone is happy with me from coach Ibra Sekajja and other staff members, am greatful to them, also in a special way want to thank coaches; Ssekajja, Ayala John Luyinda, Musa Atagenda and all former coaches who trained me to be me from day one.” He told Sport256.
Kasule’s father played some football but didn’t make it to the top level.
” It’s now me to make him proud and happy for what I am now. I
had a target of scoring 20 goals and 15 assistd in a calendar year. And if I add for Wakiso Giants and Redbulls, I so far have 23 goals and 12 assists.”
In his conclusive remarks, the former Masaza cup player with Buddu and Kyadondo and the 2018 tournament MVP, sent words of encouragement to the current crop of Masaza players.
” I would like to tell them, not to be shy about what they are doing, just do what you do best and remember prayers and discipline is the key to success. You should always have bigger dreams and never feel at comfort just because you there where you are but always see your self beyond that level by being ur self motivator and inspirational.” He stated.
The high scoring attacking midfielder, has always drawn inspiration growing up from international superstars like Lionnel Messi, Cesc Fabregas, Mesut Ozil, Luca Modric and Andres Iniesta.
Kasule plays alongside former Buddu Ssaza and Wakiso Giants FC teammate Frank Ssebuufu at New York Red Bulls.
