US based Teenager Shemen Unegbu Itching To Wear Uganda National Team Jersey.

Born To a Ugandan Mother and Nigerian Dad, Unegbu dreams of representing Uganda.

 

Seventeen (17) year old Houston Dynamo defender Shemen Unegbu is dreaming of representing Uganda Football National team(s) at any level.

 

 

Unegbu, born to a Nigerian dad and a Ugandan mother both holding Ugandan passports, dreams of representing Uganda at youth levels and Cranes one time having started his football career in Kampala, Uganda.

Just like it’s a dream for most football players to represent their countries at different levels, it’s not different from US based right back Unegbu born on 24th October 2005.

 

” As a player, my dream is to represent Uganda because I have roots there. My mum is Ugandan and togather with my dad hold Ugandan passports. I started the career there playing for KISU age of five. I managed to win a trophy with the U-9 side.”

 

The young right back is inspired by Cranes Center back Savio Kabugo who was once their trainer while studing at Kampala International School of Uganda.

Unegbu moved to USA and Joined current team Houston Dynamo In September 2021 based in Texas, from Brookhouse football academy based in Leicester where he had spent almost a year.

 

 

He joined Brookhouse Football Academy in September 2020, until June 2021 and was captain of the U-15 and U-16 where he made regular first team appearances at the Elite level.

 

He also spent two years at Cleremount Football Academy between 2018-2020 in UK when he left KISU.

 

While at Cleremount, he was named Academy player of the year for his outstanding performance.

 

He has since made first team appearances at MLS Next J League thus attracting a number of clubs to chase for his signature.
