Della Torre Football Academy beat Rarph Soccer Academy 1-0 in the UYFA regional Qaulifiers’ final to guarantee themselves a place in the U-13 national championship to be held in Mbale in August.
Champions Della Torre, will represent Luwero Triangle sub region and will face off with other champions/academies from other regions of the country.

Della defeated Talent Platform 2-0 in the semi-finals.
Della’s Joshua Wambi scored the only goal in the final and he was tournament top scorer with 8 goals.
Ian Makumbi was Man of the match in the final.
Coaches Abudul Makumbi, Mawanda shafiq and Aron Kirumira guided Della to the national championship.
Della Torre Soccer Academy chief executive officer Sirajje Kabuye pointed at organisation as key for the academy success and thanked different stake holders.
” We were very organized and set for this tournament, we had just finished the Courtney Jarrett memorial tournament and this helped us be United and the team work was key to win the regional Qualifiers. And we thank God for the early success.”
Kabuye was greatful to the academy patron, parents and kids speaking to Sports256 media in an exclusive interview.
” I would love to thank the technical team, our patron Della Torre for all the support, we are greatful that this has been our first major tournament and we won it and we shall represent Luwero Triangle sub region very well.”
” I want to appreciate the kids that were committed, the parents that gave us the kids that we had in camp for almost a week.” Kabuye added.
The U-13 national championship will be played in August in Mbale and Kabuye believes they have enough time to prepare well.
” We shall enter camp as early as possible and prepare enough, we shall ask parents to give us kids in time amd the technical will be ready for them and we shall be in Mbale to compete with other strong academies but not to participate.”
” We were also happy with the kids/players’ discpline they exihibited and we request them to mantain that and because we have the ability we shall be in Mbale to compete.”
