SC Villa earned their third win of the season with a comfortable 3-0 win against newcomers Kigezi Home boys in the Startimes Uganda premier league game played on Tuesday at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.
Jogoos danger man Patrick Jonah Kakande, midfielder Aslam Semakula, and substitute Andrew Otim were on target for the hosts on the evening.
Kakande, opened the scoring with a well struck penalty in the 14th minute after he was brought down in the 18-yard box.
Shortly, midfielder Aslam Semakula doubled the lead with a well struck effort in the 19th minute and with two minutes left of normal time, Otim put the icing on the cake with a well struck header in the 80th minute.
Villa drew with Kitara at home in the first game, defeated URA FC, beat Express and Kigezi Home Boys today at Wankulukuku.
Early in the second half, young star Stephen Mugisha tried from long-range, but his effort went off the mark.
Andrew Otim, shortly after coming on for Frank Sebuufu, got an opportunity to extend the lead, but his left footed effort went off target.
Abongo, got a rare chance for the visitors but failed to hit the target when his effort went into the side net.
Midfielder John Asiimwe went close to scoring his first goal of the season, but his close range effort went over the bar in the 78th minute.
Substitute Geoffrey Gaganga was denied by the goalkeeper with a classic save in the added minutes on his well struck freekick.
Elsewhere, Jarieko James,
Richard Basangwa and Lubwama scored for NEC FC as they defeated URA FC 4-1 in the league game played at Omondi stadium in Lugogo.
Jarieko scored the equaliser in the 14th minute, Basangwa gave the hosts the lead in the 42nd minute, and Lubwama extended the lead before the break.
Former Venom Basangwa put the game out of reach for the visitors with the fourth goal in the 50th minute.
Midfielder Isma Mugulusi scored the only game for the tax collectors.
In Jinja, BUL FC came from down to win it 2-1, new signing Olaboro and Simon Achodi scored in the 37th and 55th minute respectively to ensure they continue with their 100% winning record.
Today’s game confirm, BUL FC retain the summit position with maximum 12 points, NEC FC second placed with 10 points, SC Villa in 3rd position with nine points and Blacks Power dropped to 4th position with 9 points.
