Gomba defender Ntagungira reveals team & personal targets after defeating Buddu
Gomba Ssaza Football team defender Hamuza Ntagungira expressed his delight, defeating three-time champions, Buddu 3-0 in the quarter final first leg played on Sunday at Kabulasoke.
Right back, Ntagungira pointed at winning the sixth title for the Lions speaking to Sports256 media shortly after the Buddu game.
Am very happy for this home victory against Buddu, and I want to promise the Gomba funs that we have given little joy today, but we are going fight to take them to the finals, what we have done today isn’t new to them but now our target is to win for them the 6th title.
Beating Buddu is something special, but most importantly, we prepared so well for this game, very focused. All players have been around in the camp for two weeks, working hard for this victory because, as you well know, Buddu is not that a weak team.
Defender Ntagungira also pointed at elevating from Masaza to another level in his career.
My target as a player is to get to another level. Hopefully, in two or three years, I will be playing professional football abroad.
Muhammed Kasule, Alfred Sebunya, and Hassan Waiswa scored for the Gomba Lions and they will be looking forward to the same in Masaka
Gomba will travel to Masaka on Sunday for the quarter-final return leg against Buddu at the Kitovu Sports Arena.
