Uganda Cubs midfielder Patrick Ouke has completed a move to SUPL Club Gaddafi FC on a 3 year deal.
Exciting teenager Patrick Ouke can’t wait to get started at the Jinja based StarTimes Uganda premier league side Gaddafi Football club after penning a three year employment contract.
One of the immensely talented young stars in the country Ouke, has been linked to several SUPL and FUFA Big league club, but has decided to Join the soldier boys where he expects to get more playing time as young player.
” Am excited to join the SUPL from a lower league, I feel this is a right decision for me to join a club that I feel will give me playing to improve as a young player, I know I will be challenged to balance books and football in this last year of high school but will just need support from fellow players, coaches, fans and everyone but very ready for the challenge.”
” To the Gadafi family, I thank you for the trust, and I promise you the best out of me.” He added.
The 17 year old, currently in his S.6 at Masaka SS officially joins Gadafi from Prosper Soccer Academy.
Ouke who raised through the national team set up, was greatful to some individuals that have always backed him up for the success achieved so far.
” Am really greatful to everyone who has given me a helping hand in my career development most especially coaches Wasswa Bobic and coach Kato, my Academy Lweza Starlets and my biggest target I to work hard go play professional football lift my family and my academy.” He stated.
Like has represented his country at different junior levels; U-15 in Eritrea and at U-17 in Ethiopia.
Ouke was first called to the national team(U-15) in 2018 and was part of the winning side that lifted the trophy along with Travis Mutyaba, Godfrey Ssekibengo and others.
Ouke came off the bench and started all the other games in Eritrea.
He was later called for the U-17 squad that represented Uganda in Ethiopia last year that failed to make it to the AFCON.
Ouke played a single game against Rwanda last year in Ethiopia.
The young star has so far scored two goals for his country with the U-15 both against Burundi.
Ouke is eyeing playing professional and featuring for the senior team in the future.
” The time I will spend at Gadafi will help me develop, hopefully get another bigger club here or even move to professional ranks. Now the ball is my hands to show case my abilities and hopefully be summoned to the U-20 and later to the Cranes.”
The young star hinted on SC Villa star Mutyaba Travis, URA FC new signing Ssekibengo Godfrey as among the best he has shared the pitch.
Ouke highlighted on his toughest opponents sor far not being Ugandans, pointed a South African midfielder whom he faced in Copa Africa a Kenyan he faced in the CECAFA (U-15) finals.
He also stated that playing for the national team and scoring for it, being a captain for a big school like Masaka SS, being a mentor at a young age to some of young footballers and lifting his family and academy Lweza starlets where he calls home and also making his parents and siblings proud are some of the key moments of his career.
Speaking on his so far low moments of his career, he narrated ” I got a serious injury at a young in 2016, and when I was benched when I fealt like I was among thr best players in the team at CECAFA U-17 and failed to qualify for AFCON.” He told Sport256 in an exclusive interview.
” The other, would be not featuring at the National post primaries with all the experience I have, it also hurts me.” He concluded.
Ouke is also another FUFA Juniors league product with Proline JT.
