I Want to Win BUL More Trophies – New signing Mwere.

 

BUL FC signed Defender Nicholas Mwere on a three year deal from Busoga United FC.

 

Left back Mwere expressed his joy to join BUL Football club speaking at the unveiling and promised to bring more glory to the Eastern Giants.

 

” I am excited to be here. BUL is a winning team, they recently won the Uganda cup and I expect to win with them more titles.”

 

“I will try to defend better as well as attack at the same time to help the team achieve its targets. We are going to work together and win together.”

 

 

The 22-year-old dreadlocked Rasta, is one of the highly rated young defenders in Ugandan football.

 

Mwere is a product of JIPRA and featured in the national secondary schools competitions.

 

He played for Kakira Town Council in the lower divisions of Jinja district at a tender age before he moved to Busoga United in 2021 where he played for the last two seasons in the Uganda premier league.

 

He is gifted with a good body structure and he is a very solid young player.

 

BUL FC head coach, Abbey Kikomeko Bogere, was happy with the re-union and addition of such a gifted young player.

 

“When you look at the backline of our team, we had a loophole on the left side. So, I opted for Mwere.”

 

“I looked at his height, and his work rate. He is a young player and a promising defender.” He told Bulfc.co.ug

 

“I expect him to become a better defender now that he has joined BUL.” he concluded.

 

Mwere joins striker Joel Madondo who joined the club earlier from Gadafi and also played for Busoga United before.

 

Young stars; midfielder Owen Mukisa, striker Edrine Cavan Mawerere and Herbert Onyango along with Paul Ssekulima, defender Aggrey Madoi are so far the players confirmed to have left the club.
