EPPL: NWM, Touch Sound Mantain Perfect Start, As Public Beach Enter Title Race

Nature Waste management (NWM), Touch Sound, Public Beach, Cheetahs walked away with maximum on Match day II of the ESA Park Premier League.

 

Henry Lugovu has two goals so far in two games.

 

NWM and Touch Sound maintained their perfect start of the season with their second win from two outings.

 

Young star Kennedy Sewankambo put up a man of the match performance for NWM in their 4-1 win against other contenders SKY Net.

 

Skynet captained by former Cranes player Joseph Owino.

 

Ssewankambo bagged a brace, Dennis Iguma and Muzamiru Dida Juuko with one each for NWM.

 

Wasswa Massajja scored the only goal for SKY Net.

Touch Sound also got their second win in a row with a narrow (3-2) win against CBICE.

Danto was impressive on the night, he is currently the team leading scorer with two goals one more than Dan Bainomugisha who scored the only goal in their opening match.

 

Team captain Dan Kibz, midfielder Ochan Steven and Ken Sejjusa were as well impressive despite loosing the game narrowly.

League leading scorer Isma Kabugu scored one goal and took his tally to 6 goals, with veteran midfielder
Andama and Kigemuzi scoring the other two. Yiga John scored a brace for the Corporate team.

 

Public Beach, after loosing their first game to CBICE, resurrected their chances of challenging for the title with an impressive 4-0 win over struggling Football For All (FFA) that lost their second game in a row.

Experienced forwards; Maddie Mukiri Kabuye and Jimmy ‘Kabuzi’ , Kaggwa, Mumbere scored for Public Beach.

ESA FC and Kayinja recorded the first ever draw in the history of the EPPL. Kayinja came 2 goals from down to draw 2-2.

Tebera Abdu Karim scored for Kayinja, then Lugonvu Henry and
Simon Tega Wakabi were on target for ESA FC.

 

In the other game, captain Robert Nakabale scored a hat-trick for his side Cheetahs in a 3-1 defeat of Guda and Kalule Look man scored the consolation.

 

Ex International coach Joseph Mutyaba played for Public Beach.

 

After match day II, NWM and Touch Sound are tied at 6 points in 1st and 2nd positions respectively but NWM with a better goal difference.

 

Guda and FFA are in the relegation zone having failed to get a single point in the first two matches.

 

 

EPPL action returns on Saturday 14th with five games kicking off at 4pm at ESA Park in Kitubulu.
