
Teenager Azeedi Sseguya Joins Tanzania Side
Teenage Midfielder Azeedi Sseguya has completed a move to Tanzania third tier club Buhaya on a one year deal.
The 18 year old, who has been training with Maroons Football club, is happy starting his professional career early.
” It’s a dream come true for me,very ready for the challenge ahead of me, I want to add value to the work, because I have come here for work it’s every player’s target to play in a different environment away from home, professional football most especially outside his country. So am very happy and ready to give my whole to this club to pay for the trust.” Sseguya told Sport256 in an exclusive interview.
The young star was as well greatful to all his previous teams that have helped him develop.
” I want to thank Maroons FC, MUBS and all the teams have worked with, all my friends that have supported me in whichever way, Bana Swaibu, Mulongo, my elder brother Khalid Aucho and others am so greatful” he added
Sseguya’s immediate target is to help the team earn promotion to the second tier of Tanzania Football Federation.
Azeedi is a product of cheetahs soccer academy, Eastern talents soccer academy and also went through Sparta 09 Kampala.
The teenager won the FUFA Juniors league title with BUL Junior team while he was still at JIPRA in 2018-19 before, he later joined MUBS.
Azeedi’s is expected to make his competitive debut for the club in the Azam Sports Federation Cup against top tier club Mtibwa Sugar away from home on 27th January 2023.
Azeedi, scored at his first outing on Tuesday for the new club in a friendly Match against Kagera Sugar that ended 2-1 in favour of the visitors away from home at Kaitaba stadium.
The Ugandan born midfielder represented Rwanda U-20 between 2017 and 2018.
