Six individuals walked away with accolades and their pockets smiling at the end of year Real stars awards held at Garden City roof top on Saturday 10th December 2022.

 

 

JKL Lady Dolphins star Brenda Ekone, Hippos and Wakiso Giants Midfielder Titus Sematimba, veteran Ludo player Nagadya, netballer Nambirige, Nsubuga and Akello were the winners on the night in the different sports disciplines.

 

Ekone, won the biggest Award on the night (Fortebet Real stars best of the year).

 

Hippos midfielder Ssematimba edged teammate Owen Kasule and Vipers SC Yunus Ssentamu for the footballer’s award.

 

Uganda Cranes legend and U-20 national team head coach Jackson Mayanja was given the lifetime achievers award on the night.

 

USPA was also rewarded and the award was picked by the association organising Secretary Solomon Ssaka.

 

Real Stars Sports Agency boss Isaac Mukasa was delighted with the successful 4 years journey so far.

 

Mukasa said, ” It is a journey we have moved with hope and faith from Buziga suits where we started to now. I want to appreciate everyone for the great work, our target is to motivate , nurture and connect our talents to the outside market as well as players getting a reward at the end of the month.

 

Samuel Odong, the commissioner of sports who represented the chief guest the state minister of Sports Peter Ogwang thanked the different stakeholders in the awards.

 

” Am happy to be here, the minister is engaged and had to miss to be here, the ministry stands wth you as an agency promoting sports, happy that you invited us.”

 

” These awards is a great tool, people like Mia Mia, should be on a Pension system & some where in the wall of fame, thank u Isaac on behalf of govt your recognition is unique. I want to thank the sponsors, Jude colour solution, Fortebet, the media.” He concluded.

 

Jude Colour solutions head of Marketing and sales Henry Zzimbe was happy with the journey moved with Real Stars Awards since then.

 

” We have always moved togather the journey and Jude will always be here as long as the awards exist, we are a branding and promotions company and the reason for sponsoring these awards is to promote talents, boast the morale and help in development. We want to encourage others sponsors to come on board so that we can win togather.”

 

Resty Mbatidde the assistant media relations manager at Fortebet who was flanked by her boss the Human resource manager Mr Tusubira, promised more commitment and congratulated the winners winners.

 

” We want to thank Mr Mukasa for the great work, as Fortebet we are committed to promoting sports. We sponsor these awards because we feel the players need to add something to their pockets. We want to congratulate the winners and encourage others to work harder.” She stated.

 

The shadow minister of Sports Hon Kayemba Solo was happy with the big strides Real Stars Sports Agency has taken in a short time.

 

 

 

” I want to thank you my brother Mukasa and the entire team at RSA, members if the media for the great work, it is because of what we shared with Mukasa that helped me join the agency business in which I have got some good money. We were togather on streets but am so happy that you are doing such great work for Sports in the country.

 

Ambrose Tashobya said, ” As NCS, there somethings we are looking at, career guidance, the livelihood of the Athletes, so such awards are very important and we want to thank the sponsors and the members of the 4th estate for the support to this cause.
