Despite going to the resting time three goals down, it was such a memorable and joyful second half for the visitors, scoring the only two goals.

Ukasha Kamoga scored both the penalties in the 53rd and 90th minute, the hosts punished for handball offences in the area.

Right back Steven Bukina and captain Birungi were the two players booked by veteran referee Kasibante in the 7th and 52nd minute respectively.

Pride Captain Birungi, believes the trust in God and hard work is pushing them.

” It was a tough game, we played not a poor team, they tried to pressurise but we had scored our early goals though they got the two penalties they couldn’t make it. So we expect to put up the same spirit in out next game to make sure we go as far as we can. We have the Entebbe City Championship final on Sunday and everyone knows that we have to add it to our cabinet after winning Eddy Kenzo’s tournament. We want to keep dreaming keep winning and reach to that level when we face the big clubs in the country. We just thank God that he is behind our success.” He pointed.

Team manager Kabito was happy for the win and the progress of the club since he joined.

” With the little time which is less than a year, but we are taken bigger strikes,. We have played three matches winning, picked up points away from home, so am so happy as a coach. Our target as coaches of lower league(s) coaches in these big tournaments is that, the higher we go gives us chance to write our names somewhere, the players as well and the club.”

“As ever, my self and the other coaching staff here, we approach every match as a final, we started this tournament to prove a point that we are really the Entebbe pride, just like we showed a mark in the Eddy Kenzo tournament. So on Sunday everyone here knows we have to win it also.” Kabito added.

Among the fans that enjoyed the game were KCCA FC diehards; Isaac Luweesi, Love Rodgers, Vipers’ Mukasa and SC Villa’s MC Jeff Muganwa.

Entebbe Pride defeated Wakibombo 3-0 in the first round,
Synergy (1-0) away from home in the second round.
