Bashir Edema Yiki penalty goal was enough for Kyaddondo SS to knock-out holders Buddo S.S in the early kick-off game played at Lira Town College pitch.
Midfielder Edema scored the penalty before the halftime mark after Kakooza was brought down in the area by goalkeeper Waibi Edirisa.
Kyaddondo SS coach Hakim Senkumba was happy achieving their FEASSA Games target.
It’s derby we all come from Wakiso, we know each other am happy we have beat them and achieve our target of qualifying for East Africa, we met them at the district and beat them so it’s a good achievement for us. We miss so much the players woth the national team but if you are a big school, you have to have many quality players in the squad.
Kyaddondo SS captain Omugul Kokas was happy greatful to coaches and fellow players for the achievement.
Am very happy we have managed to achieve our dream of qualifying for East Africa. We are going to continue pushing to lift the trophy as well.I thank God and coaches that we have again beaten Buddo that has been our problem for some time.
Quarter final action continues at the same pitch, AMUS College taking on London College Nansana at 11am, BCS South face Masaka SS at 2pm, and St Mary’s Kitende will close the day against Numasa.
