Title Contenders AMUS College School and Ssingo SS from Mityana District progressed to the knockout stage as table leaders with maximum points from the three games played.
Already qualified for the Knockout Stage, Ijosiga Mudasiru bagged a hat-trick, and Julius Ekomo was on target to ensure title contenders AMUS top group F with 9 points and will face the second based struggling JIPRA that finished group E with 4 points.
Ssingo SS also managed maximum points 9 from group G and progressed along with Ibanda SS, and they will face the second placed team in group H.
Defending Champions Buddo SS thumped Kasarem SS 7-1 to ensure they climax group A with maximum points and Kyaddondo SS beat Kalisizo Seed 2-0 to top group E.

Else, where in the Tuesday Matchday 3 games, Agape beat Bwere 2-1, JIPRA defeated Kigumba 1-], Mengo SS edged Bishop Comboni 1-0, London College outclassed Mehta 3-1 and Mentor thumped Mbarara Army 5-0.
The State Minister for Primary Education, Dr. Joyce Moriku Kaducu officially opened the National Boys Fooball Championship in Lira at Lira Town College playground and argued participants to fron the fair play spirit.

” I would like to congratulate Lira City for hosting these games. I also want to thank the Ministry of Education and Sports for supporting school sports and sports in general. I call upon teachers to help these young students nurture and develop their talents. I also appeal to everyone to uphold fair play throughout the competition. I officially declare these games open.” Kaducu stated.
The Assistant commissioner Commissioner, Physical Education and Sports appeared to government foe more support speaking ro athletes at Lira Town College.
I would like to congratulate Lira Town College for hosting these games. I humbly appeal to the Government to adjust the budget so that we can fully support all Ugandan teams representing the country at the international level.” Odong stated.
