Uganda Matyrs High School Lubaga (UMHSL) and St Charles Lwanga Kasasa won the Lemmanais boys and girls title respectively after defeating St Henry’s Kitovu and Uganda Matyrs Lubaga in the 60th edition hosted by Kasasa.
The Kampala based School UMHSL managed to bring both their teams; boys and and girls to the final, the boys managing to win and the girls lost to Kasasa.
UMHSL beat Coach Steven Bogere coached side Kitovu thanks to defender Lomokol James goal.
The boys’ final started at high speed with both teams targeting an early and paid off for UMHSL when they got the much needed goal in the 7th minute.
There was a great chance for Kitovu to equalise early, but John Asiimwe put to waste a great opportunity that wen went close to the cross bar.
Buddu Sazza midfielder Godfrey Ssekibengo almost found the equalizer for Kitovu but his freekick effort went inches off the mark.
UMHSL got a clear opportunity to double the lead but their Skipper Patrick Kakande but was denied by goalkeeper Salim who aslo features for Buluuli Ssaza.
Another good chance for Kitovu, fell to trickery KCCA U-20 striker Ddembe Johnpaul whose free kick effort was blocked by defender Lomokol.
Kitovu dangerman Kaija also got a couple of chances to go find the back of the but was wasteful on the day.
Kitovu Goal keeper Salim had a busy day in office and he is credited for dealing well with strikers Kakande and Marvin attempts
UMHSL striker Juma got the last of the game in the 90th minute but failed to capitalise on goalkeeper Salim’s blunder.
In the classification match, David Kateregga scored for St Charles Lwanga Kasasa to defeat St Edwards Bukuumi 1-0.
Kitovu’s Pius Ssebulime was voted MVP of the boy’s Tournament.

In the girls finals, Kasasa defeated UMHSL 4-3 in penalties after a 1-1 scoreline in normal time to win their maiden Lamennais title.
Acen Eyvet, Deborath Nanvule, Anirwoth Linda, Ainamani Bonitah scored their peanlties and Ruth Amar missed for Kasasa.
While, U-20 winger Munyana Brenda, Nagadya Cathy , Nakacwa Cathy scored, Esther and Nakasi Latifah missed for UMHSL.
