URA FC Midfielder Ivan Serubiri Banned, Fined.

 

Uganda Revenue Authority Football club midfielder Ivan Serubiri has been handed a one month ban and a fine of Uganda Shillings 500.000 for misconduct.

 

According to the release by the FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel, Serubiri was charged for putting the game of  football into disrepute.

 

The release read;

FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel has handed URA FC player Sserubiri Ivan a one month suspension and fined him UGX 500,000 for breaching the FUFA Competitions rules and regulations Articles 31(2) and 31(3) during his club’s match with Wakiso Giants FC on 28th December 2021.

Sserubiri threatened to violently attack assistant referee Nantabo Lydia Wanyama.

 

The player’s conduct put the game of football into disrepute. The suspension expires on 3rd February 2022.

 

The ban therefore means, the combative midfielder will miss the two January games;  away game to Gaddafi tomorrow and the home game to KCCA FC on Saturday 8th.

 

Serubiri will return to StarTimes Uganda Premier league action on February 5th for their home game against struggling Busoga United.

 

URA FC currently struggling in the league are 7th placed having only accumulated 18 points from 11 outings.

 

They have only managed 4 wins, drawn six times and have only lost to Arua Hill 3-2.

 

The tax men contunue with their chase for another title away to the soldier boys in Jinja Tommorow Tuesday.
