Midfielder Nicholas Kasozi unveiled at Kitara FC.

The workaholic holding midfielder Nicholas Kasozi has signed a two-year contract with Kitara Football Club, adding steel and experience to the Royals’ engine room ahead of the new Uganda Premier League season and their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.

Kasozi arrives as a free agent after his spell with Tanzania Premier League side Kagera Sugar came to an end.

He was officially unveiled earlier today, walking into Kitara with the quiet confidence of a man who has walked every path in Ugandan football.

For starters,this move also marks a reunion for Kasozi linking up once again with Head coach Wasswa Bbosa.

The two worked together at Sports Club Villa during the 2017-2018 season before his big move to KCCA FC.

The humbled ,talented midfielder began at Synergy FC under Coach Brian Ssenyondo.

From there, he climbed to SC Villa, then to KCCA FC, where he won the 2018-2019 Uganda Premier League.

Kasozi has also had stints at Kyetume FC, Gaddafi FC and Express FC where he lifted the Kagame Cup followed by his recent chapter with Kagera Sugar FC in Tanzania.

Furthermore, Kitara FC have been busy in the market, bringing in fresh legs to compete seriously this season.

Defenders Jackson Ssembatya and Ghanaian Christopher Bonny, Midfielder Diego Ssemugera and Martin Kizza.

Nicholas Kasozi is one of the few players to have worn the jerseys of all three “VEK” giants Villa, Express FC , and KCCA FC.

As the squad reshapes, Kitara has also parted ways with Mohammed Shaban, Yunus Sibira, Sadiq Ssekyembe, James Alitho, Frank Kasumba, Eric Tumwine, Amir Kakomo, and Saleh Aziz.
