Otim John Brian Lone strike sinks BCS to hand Amus College maiden USSSA Boy’s Football title

For the third time in a row this year, Amus College School beat Bukedea Comprehensive-South 1-0 to lift the Uganda Secondary Schools Association (USSSA) National Boy’s Football Championship hosted by Lira Town College.

Otim John Brian scored a wonder free-kick from 35 yards in the 23rd minute that after 90 minutes proved the historical winner for Amus to grab their first ever title in 12 years of existence.
Head coach Richard Malinga successfully defended the title he won last year with Buddo SS along with Head of Technical Kintu Nimrod.
Olala Roy, one of the players that transferred with Malinga from Buddo, was happy with the trust of his coach to defend the title.
Am so happy, I thank God for successfully defending the title which I won last year with Buddo in Ngora, and I wishbto.win the 3rd next year. The coach took me to Amus because he trusts me, so I am happy to have paid the trust.
Goal scorer Otim John Brian could hide his joy winningnyhe title in his last year for the school.
Am so happy for winning the title in my last year that’s why i was working hard so I would love to thank my teammates for the achievement being the forst for the school jas made it special, because we badly needed it.
St Peter’s Tororo forward Matthew Ethan Mukhwana finished the top scorer of the tournament with 12 goals, Amus goalkeeper Usama Chagamo grabbed the golden boot and Bukedea Comprehensive forward Simon Wanyama was controversially named MVP of the tournament.

A BCM/Enteprenuer student Mukhwana was happy scooping the prestigious Golden boot something he never expected.
” Winning this award is something very special to me and it could be a spark to many opportunities towards my football career, I won the golden the boot at the region qualifiers but I never expected it here but God made it so the future has something to tell. He stated.
