Tumwine Late Header Earns UPPC Memorable Premier League Win.

Substitute Fazil ‘Chopla’ Tumwine headed in late a well crafted Jonathan Odongo cross to ensure the debutants Entebbe Uganda Printing and Publishing Company (UPPC) FC get their first ever win in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

UPPC FC came from a goal down to win it 2-1 in 85th minute. Midfielder Issa Bugembe headed in a well delivered corner in the 74th minute, before Tumwine scored the winner with five minutes of normal time to play.

Forward Freedom Mungudit gave the visitors a first half lead when he capitalised on the defence mess-up in the 25th minute.

Coach Abdallah Mubiru made tactical changes in the 60th minute, with introduction of club star-man Kawawa, Nordeen Bunjo and Alou John Kokas for Poloto, Ssenyonjo and Kyeyune which later at the end confirmed was the turning point of the game with more creativity and high pressing which paid off in the last minutes of the game.

The hosts, a side that lost their SUPL debut game in the top tier against fellow debutants Buhimba United Saints at home, were hungry from the start, Ssenyonjo, Poloto getting the first half chances but failed to hit the target.

Bugembe before heading in the equaliser, he had tried from long range,  but was denied by Goalkeeper Juma Mutebi and substitute Kokas also got a close range opportunity to find the back of the net but was also denied among the notable second half chances.

Bugembe receiving his Man of the Match award.

The win, elevated the Printers to third position on the log with three points behind leaders BUL FC and Buhimba United.

UPPC will play SC Villa away from home in the next outing on Wednesday and will host NEC FC in the 4th game
