VIPERS FANS CUP: BATTLE FOR GLORY AS ABC FC CLASHES WITH BUWAMA UNITED IN QUARTERFINALS
The highly anticipated Vipers Fans Cup continues to gather momentum as ABC FC prepares to face Buwama United FC in a mouthwatering quarterfinal clash on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Buwama Playground.
Organized annually by the Vipers Fans Committee, the tournament showcases thrilling grassroots football, uniting fan-based clubs in a competitive and spirited atmosphere.
ABC FC, based in Entebbe, enters the fixture in fine form, unbeaten so far and boasting the tournament’s highest goal tally with 31 goals. Their emphatic 6–3 win over Entebbe Police FC in the round of 16 highlighted their attacking firepower.
Head Coach Tonny Arinaitwe remains grounded despite the impressive run:
“Knockout games are always tricky, but we’ve prepared the team well. We respect our opponents and believe our squad depth and technical quality will guide us through,” he said.
ABC will rely on key players such as midfielders David Kakeeto, Marvin Ssebuliba, and striker James Ssendawula to push them closer to the semifinals.
Buwama United earned their quarterfinal berth after edging Kazinga Moon FC 4–3, and are eager to challenge the Entebbe giants.
