Ssingo Ssaza Legend Bastu Ssemuyaba replaced, as county name new technical staff & squad
Former Ssingo Ssaza Coach, player, media officer Bashir ‘ Bastu’ Ssemuyaba has officially been replaced by Emmy Kisaakye and will be assisted by Micheal Bukenya at the official unveiling ceremony held at Ssingo Ssaza Stadium ahead of the 2026 Masaza season.
The decision to replace Ssingo Ssaza born and bred CAF B holder Ssemuyaba, comes after the county lost last year final to Buweekula at Hamz Stadium Nakivubo.
At the same occasion, the two-time champions, officially unveiled the squad the final squad to use in the chase for the third Masaza Cup title.
The named squad is comprised of 3 goalkeepers, 7 defenders, 7 Midfielders and 8 forwards.
Ssingo chasing the 3rd title, last won the championship in 2018 under coach Bisaso Shafick, but had also won it in 2015.
For starters, the Buganda Masaza cup is a highly popular annual football tournament in Uganda played between the 18 counties (Masaza) of the Buganda Kingdom. The most recent champions are Buweekula, who claimed their first title in 2025.
